To determine when you will be eligible for Medicare, visit the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services website.

All employees hired after 3/31/86 contribute to Medicare through legally required payroll deductions. If you were hired before 3/31/86 and did not elect to contribute to Medicare through SURS, your eligibility for Medicare may be impacted.
