Steering Committee Roles and Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement Steering Committee represents all employee groups of McHenry County College and takes on the responsibility of supporting, guiding, organizing, and leading the Continuous Improvement process efforts of the College.Continuous Improvement Steering Committee's Roles:
- Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement
- Listen to input from across the College
- Select Action Team projects based on alignment with the College’s Strategic Plan and AQIP principles and criteria
- Choose Action Teams and Action Team members that will focus on improving the processes that are of high priority
- Listen to and provide effective feedback to Action Teams and their ideas of improvement and their ideas for implementation
- Make decisions concerning the Action Teams and their ideas for improvement and support implementation in any way possible
- Coordinate Action Team process and prevent duplicate efforts
- Lead and develop reward and recognition activities that will appropriately show our appreciation for the efforts and the results of the Action Teams
- Organize and coordinate the communications of Action Team efforts and the tangible results to the College and appropriate stakeholders
- Provide the leadership and coordination of training to keep Continuous Improvement effective and on-going
- Serve as a Sponsor for Action Teams
