Action Teams Roles and Responsibilities

Action Team Member Roles:

• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement philosophy and tools
• Attend all Action Team meetings
• Support the development and completion of the Action Team's written report
• Exhibit professionalism
• Participate openly, honestly and supportively

Action Team Sponsor Roles (Member of the AQIP Steering Committee):

• Facilitate the development of a project statement, team report, recommendations, and objectives with measurable criteria that are focused on educational excellence and quality improvement
• Experienced in the usage of Continuous Improvement process and tools
• Attend Action Team meetings and/or frequently communicate with the team
• Help Action Team identify potential team leader(s)
• Help align Scribe duties within Action Team capabilities
• Help align Digital Illustrator duties within Action Team capabilities
• Communicate Action Team progress, needs, and status to the Steering Committee
• Communicate Steering Committee feedback and support to Action Team members
• Help Action Team define project parameters
• Help identify possible additional Action Team members and/or resources as needed
• Help the Action Team create and maintain a positive and productive environment

Action Team Leader Roles:

• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement philosophy and tools
• Help Action Team determine a feasible meeting schedule and project timeline
• Schedule Action Team meetings and complete agendas
• Facilitate meetings to ensure progress is made according to Steering Committee expectations
• Help identify possible additional Action Team members and/or resources as needed
• Communicate Action Team progress, needs, and status to the Steering Committee and Steering Committee feedback and support to Action Team members in Sponsor absence or as directed by the Sponsor

Action Team Scribe Roles:

• Record information
• Input data into TracDat
• Input information into written report format
• Fairly and objectively prepare and distribute minutes in a timely manner

Action Team Digital Illustrator Roles:

• Work with Word, Excel, and Visio software
• Create diagrams and charts for Action Team using compiled data
