EXPLANATION

Information about Service Learning & Volunteerism Service Learning is a teaching method that combines community service with academic advancement.  Students learn about civic responsibility by participating in organized community service activities that respond to the needs in our area.

www.volunteermchenrycounty.org Students register and search for volunteer opportunities by using the United Way of Greater McHenry County Volunteer Center’s website.  The site provides information about each agency, their needs, and assists with tracking completed hours.
