| Archive and Delete Old Courses PDF | The attached tutorial covers archiving and deleting old courses. |
|
| Colored Fonts PDF | Students can be overwhelmed by the number of items on an ANGEL list. Using colored fonts can give some additional visual cues. | |
| Content Items PDF | When giving directions in ANGEL, do you ever want to refer students to other documents in the course? It's helpful to give reminders to students, but to review the material in the reminder, a student will have to hunt through the course, leaving the current activity. One solution is to link to content within the course. | |
| Direct Link to URLs | Make a direct link using HTML code in the ANGEL link settings. | |
| Embedding YouTube Videos into ANGEL PDF | Easy to understand instructions for embedding YouTube videos in to ANGEL | |
| Empty Drop Box Associated Files PDF | ANGEL copies over drop box submissions when a course shell is copied, even if student data is not copied during the copying of the course. These files use a great deal of space, especially if the drop box is copied repeatedly (over several semesters). | |
| Getting E-mail to Wrap PDF | ANGEL Course Mail. Does your message run off the screen to the right (the text won't wrap)? If so, this brief tutorial is for you. | |
| Learning Object Repositories PDF | Each instructor can use a personal Learning Object Repository (LOR) to store any files (documents, links, multimedia files) which are used in more than one course. The personal LOR is located in the Repositories box on the ANGEL home page. Items in the repository can then be linked to each course. If the item in the repository is updated, all the linked course items automatically update, saving instructor time. | |
| Library Resources PDF | Have you tried to use library resources via ANGEL links, only to find that clicking the link leads to the database login instead of directly to the material assigned? The problem can be solved via the use of permanent links. |
|
| Master Courses PDF | Faculty members, are you hesitating to archive and delete old courses because you like to work on your content between semesters? ANGEL has an answer: Master Courses. You can use a master course to work on content any time without keeping an old course live. Deleting old courses saves storage space and therefore improves system performance. Old courses take up more space than master courses, because they contain student data and interaction. |
|
| Resize and Format Images PDF | Would you like to add some color to your ANGEL course shell? Images can boost interest and comprehension. | |
| Reorder Gradebook Items PDF | Reorder categories and/or assignments to match syllabus listing, chronology, or other logical order. | |
| Uploading Images PDF | This brief tutorial covers uploading images to ANGEL. | |
| Use Automate Feature PDF | The “automate” tools can complete some instructor tasks based on student performance and therefore streamline some instructor activities. |
